We are looking for a competent Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Engineer to join our team.
The duties and responsibilities of the job holder will be as follows:
Job DetailsWe are looking for a competent Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Engineer to join our team.
The duties and responsibilities of the job holder will be as follows:
- Support the QHSE Manager and team with planning, coordinating and implementing of effective HSE policies, guideline and procedures to ensure that the department objectives are met.
- Provide support to Project and Operation team in all aspects of safety, occupational health, safety and environmental issues. Support the QHSE Manager in ensuring HSE compliance and perform regular HSE audits.
- Assist with developing HSE plans that comply with Company policies and procedures.
- Ensure training, tool box meetings, and drills are implemented as part of the company’s HSE program, i.e. emergency response systems, etc.
- Stops any job that is considered unsafe.
- Intervenes when an unsafe act or condition is observed
- Advises and /or update HSE policy and safe working methods as required.
- Investigate and complete the process for close out of all Accident Investigation
- Reports and prepare/submit lessons learned to the HSE Engineer for presentation to the management.
- Conduct HSE trainings and orientation to all new employees.
- Ensures effective communication take place and advises on training related issues.
- Ensure all worksites are HSE compliant with Company policies and safety standards.
