Reliability Engineer - John Crane

Reliability Engineer will provide on-site support to external customers by performing RCM/FMEA analysis and assessment of rotating equipment with focus on sealing system to provide recommendations to improve performance and reliability. Activities also include troubleshooting and failure analysis of sealing systems though RCA methodologies (Fault Tree, Ishikawa Diagram, Apollo, etc.) and on-site technical support to John Crane products.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Reliability analysis of individual/multiple customer rotating equipment through FMEA/ RCM studies focused on sealing system performance
• Root Cause Analysis of sealing system and rotating equipment site investigation, data gathering, reporting, and customer presentation of findings and recommendations
• Field troubleshooting, including analysis of problems / recommendation & implementation of appropriate solutions, meeting with customers in plant or at customer’s site to resolve satisfactorily
• Detailed failure analysis activities, including investigation / reporting / resolution
• Detailed technical presentations to customers in order to support sales or drive root cause analysis exercises
• Manage and report personal workload, forecast job lead-times to meet customer and departmental objectives
• Visit customer sites for technical measurement, seal installation and commissioning
• Work in line with John Crane standards, procedures and policies
• Inventory Management and SAP experience is preference

In addition, when not engaged in field activities, the Reliability Engineer will carry out the office based duties defined for Applications Engineer (Non-Turbo)
